Beginner's Knitting Class Series
With Roseann St. Aubin
Three 90-minute classes with optional 30 minute "sit and knit" after class, $60 dollars total.
-
The Basics. Tools, choosing yarn. Casting on, knit and pearl stitches, decreasing, increasing, use of straight needles, binding off. We learn by creating a knitted swatch that includes the techniques. We also learn to knit in the round on circular needles and on double-point needles. We cast on for a color work hat.

Colorwork: We work on our hats, learning to add a color pattern in Fair isle technique. We learn to read charts, learn to decrease in the round. Finishing the hat with I-cord.
